Italian DJ and producer based in Paris. BBC Radio 1 airplay, a Microsoft Ignite live set, and residencies across Paris, Los Angeles and Greece.
Aky is an Italian DJ and electronic producer based in Paris, and the founder of ANGVIS, the independent London label he started in 2020.
He has been making dance music for over ten years. He trained at the Academy of Contemporary Music in the UK and at ICON Collective in Los Angeles, and both cities still show up in the records: UK weight underneath, West Coast polish on top. His single "Amen" picked up airplay on BBC Radio 1, and in 2021 he curated and performed the DJ set for the Microsoft Ignite live stream alongside Logitech.
The catalogue has widened since. "Jungle Terror" with the Ragga Twins opened ANGVIS in 2020, the Moving Forward EP with Micah Martin followed in 2022, and the years since have moved through house, tech house, Afro house and amapiano: "Lean N Bop" with Yaw Faso, "Sahara" with RocSoul, "That Sound" with LPATTI, "Set Me Free" with Kira and "Feel My Soul" with Lila. The records have drawn support from Acraze, Hypaton, Alex Wann, JAMIIE and Haylee Wood.
Behind the decks he reads a room before he plays it. He holds a monthly house residency at LPDO in Paris and has played weekly runs at L'Injuste and Dr Lupin, with Los Angeles dates at Catch One, Mama Lion and The Fountain, and summer bookings across the Greek islands.
